Beware Republican Politicians Wrapped in Flags

As we approach our 4th of July celebrations, we must be alert to separate true patriots from photo-op patriots.

Actually I used to love the 4th until the golden-haired leader began posing with flags and later an upside-down Bible. Then I noted that he seems to think the more flags his extreme right base sees, the more they love him. So far it’s worked.

However we all know that a car driving through a car wash doesn’t clean the driver inside. Donny won’t be a patriot no matter how many flags or Trump posters he distributes. He is a straw man, an imposter, a shape-shifter, a carnival barker, and snake oil salesman. He’s in love with himself.

So, brace yourself. Every Trump fan or political Trump-loving candidate will have 100’s of American flags in photo ops. I don’t count President Biden in this because he is the president, and he is as loyal to America as Washington and Lincoln. So, enjoy Joe and our precious flag because Trump and the January 6th insurrectionists trampled it.
