Melania Tries To Whitewash Herself and Donnie
Money will be made from a book worth virtually nothing. It’s a fashion Stepford wife edition for cleaning up Trump’s crimes and the family complicity. Who will buy it? You know.
I’ve heard some of my white wealthier women friends, you know the ones who watch fashion shows and glam magazines, say Melania was the perfect First Lady. She looked so lovely. The key is “looked” perfect like a magazine photo. Translation: they cared nothing about her intelligence, just her appearance—that’s the Trump effect. Appearing nice comes before acting nice or showing your brain.
Yet, you have to wonder if the ghostwriter for Melania’s new “book” hopes the sales will allow him/her/they to retire if enough fashion queens and Stepford wives buy it. More copies, more Trump-induced whitewashing of his non-legacy. Just as Republicans have been trying to rewrite themselves as heroes who will make American Christian again (it never was because it’s a diverse population with many faith traditions from home countries), Melania is trying to rewrite her life story for her son’s benefit and Trump’s. It needs fact-checked like a true debate. But fashionista wives will shout foul in the name of the poor pretty wifey of a wealthy man.
Another disturbing trend not noticed by the media? Catholic power.
Scenario 2 is related. Little old white ladies believe what they see, and they send their $5 and $10 checks or money orders to Trump, the grifter who will cut their Social Security and reduce their Medicare benefits while smiling like the Fox he is. The little old white ladies cannot see the Fox’s teeth. I have some elderly lady Catholic friends who have bankrolled Trump since 2015. They can’t help themselves because they say he is pro-life, and that God chose him. So they sacrifice more of their fixed incomes that otherwise might go into church coffers.
The most upsetting thing I heard in 2016 was that Trump was God’s anointed leader. I was getting a haircut, and the lady leaned closer and said Trump (seriously) that he was anointed by God and even the Pope agreed that a second coming was soon. That took my breath away because she was a weird fundamentalist who attended an alternate no name congregation. Why was she now glad about the Pope that she had said was the anti-Christ earlier during a haircut? Something was amuck.
Then I did my research. The Pope had not made that pronouncement, but the papal nuncio Abp. Vigano sent a letter to the faithful on November 4, 2020 which repeated the Republican message that Biden was leading us into darkness and Democratic liberalism. It was an apocalyptic letter that was shared by bishops who then shared it to priests. Somehow it didn’t get printed in bulletins but Catholics in the know received it by text or email to share. That apparently did not sit well with Pope Francis who chastised Archbishop Vigano. I thought perhaps Vigano was a rogue who was slapped on the hand by the Pope.
In any case the fundamentalists got the idea that the most powerful church in the world thought Trump had wings. Apparently non-Catholics, who say a good speaker is “anointed” if he speaks well or is “filled with the spirit”, had Catholic friends talking about Vigano’s letter. It was misconstrued to mean Trump had to win in 2020 because he was anointed by the big Church. That is the link between my hairdresser’s choice of words. To her anyone with the gift of gab “testifying in church” was anointed by God to be a leader.

Trump re-posted the video basically saying God made him, and he’s God’s choice for President in 2024. See below:

October is the pro-life month which corresponds to rosary rallies and picnics across the US for Catholics. Some Protestants attend and even pray the rosary although they do not believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the Holy Eucharist at Mass. Lines have blurred with politics. What will Catholics and friends be praying for in October? What’s the link between religious rallies these days and political rallies? Picnics are full of fun and campaigning time free from indoor church chit chat. Go and listen if you doubt.
According to today’s Thom Hartmann’s Substack, “Oklahoma’s Superintendent of School Instruction Ryan Walters wants his state to buy 55,000 Trump Bibles. ……. Walters isn’t doing this just for fun or because he thinks Oklahoma’s students really need a Trump Bible. …….. He specified that the bibles must include the Pledge of Allegiance, the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and the U.S. Bill of Rights; the only Bibles in America right now that contain those specific items are the Trump Bibles. And he wants the expensive and profitable ones that are leather-bound. And they have to be delivered within 2 weeks, so no other Bible publisher could possibly meet Walters’ requirements.”
So CFDT is selling Bibles and meanwhile wifey has a ghostwritten memoir coming out aimed at, as Diane K24 so correctly calls out, Stepford wives and fashionistas plus IMO generally shallow women that fantasize over celebrity lifestyles and dutiful wives of MAGA alpha male husbands.
So I say to Oklahoma’s Superintendent of School Instruction, why not waste tax payer money and buy both as a matching boxed set? Melania’s book can be a textbook for mandatory home economics classes taught to all girls in Oklahoma in the 8th grade before graduating to bare-foot pregnancy in the 10th grade.
Perfect Red State young adult reading for those formational years.
DT couldn’t be farther away from being a Christian, or any other faith. He has no faith at all, spiritual or otherwise. Nor is he faithful to wives, the rule of law, or the constitution. He lusts over his own daughter.
Melania isn’t one iota better than DT. She was an embarrassment as a First Lady. Her taste in clothes and WH decor was tacky. She plagiarized parts of a speech from a former First Lady. I’m not surprised that she is pretending to be for a woman’s right to choose. Given her prior professions….well, you can figure out the rest. Possibly was her publishers idea to pretend she believes in a right to choose to boost book sales. Talk about a book that should not see the light of day.
Anyone that is truly pro-life would not want women to die from ectopic pregnancies, miscarriages, sepsis, or a painful and problematic pregnancy that is problematic due to underlying cancer or other diseases. Anyone that is truly pro-life would not approve of anyone needing to own an assault rifle that is not in military or law enforcement. And they certainly would not want school teachers to have to train like a SWAT team, or to have a loaded assault rifle in every single classroom. Even if teachers sprouted a few extra arms, it would be impossible to teach children carrying an assault rifle with your index finger constantly sticking out straight, ready to murder at any second.
