Politics Break
Night 1 Day 1 with Puppy Winnie: we are all resting! She’s been a good girl! Here are a couple of photos and very short videos that some of you requested.
Night 1 was an easy one. She slept, didn’t soil her crate, and talked to herself a bit as she shifted positions. Whew!
Day 2 I took her out for her duties, and we came in for some love around 7:15 a.m., which is my usual time. Her breakfast is 9:00 a.m, and she played and slept in the crate while I had coffee, cereal, and checked Substack as usual. She went out before and after breakfast. She is sleepy after filling her tummy, and she was happy to cuddle on her litter blankie while I took care of my chores.
Enjoy these morning shots. The playpen idea came from a friend. The door is open and gives her a bigger play space. She took 2 toys in and played—then wanted to nap back in her crate. Her energy level when awake is medium speed haha. We have to take care to walk one step at a time. She’s Velcro Winnie!
We had to remove the coffee table to have room, and we will have a maze for a while. Winnie can go under the chair at the right we learned, but one of us reads in that chair! She’ll advance to total freedom eventually. Training has begun, and grooming too.
We can move the playpen anywhere in the house or even outdoors. It’s light and very collapsible—not for leaving the puppy alone it while we go somewhere. We are retired, and she’s our floor show literally since we stopped warching corporate news!
Her Blue💙🇺🇸💙 squeaky dog is the first toy she carried into the playpen today. I told you she’d be all for Kamala and Tim!
Have a great day!
I love how a tiny girl of 2 or 3 pounds has the whole household in an uproar! Winnie is adorable :)
We all need some puppy time to counteract the dog-eat-dog news. Sorry, Winnie, not to malign your species. It’s just an expression!
