Progress Report

My new press secretary who dictates my daily calendar these days, Ms. Winnie, has released her progress reports, and her blue Merle puppy poll for November.

It’s amazing what I have forgotten about raising puppies over time. We have had 1 English cocker, 6 bearded collies, and now a miniature bernedoodle. Winnie is the only puppy who has been nonstop motion unless she’s sleeping. Seriously, we love her, and are trying not to spoil her. I suppose it’s our age and her youth that make us tired. She’s a great sleeper and napper which we love. She’s smart.

With her smarts, Winnie is relentless in remembering what she wants to do. For example, she is in love with pulling crabgrass sticking through the fence since the rains have postponed mowing. She chews dandelions like she is preparing wine! Every time we go outside, off to attack the grass and dandies! She is the funniest dog we have ever had! New subscribers may not know that we got her to help us get through this election insanity. Distractions!

And some humor! One morning I was so distracted, I didn’t comb my hair until after I went to Krogers and looked in the rear view mirror. Yikes! Then one day we were expecting a package, and I forgot I had on PJ’s and little else. That’s what happens after the puppy’s breakfast and potty time come before my two cups of coffee! Meanwhile hubby is asleep thinking I’ve got it under control! Hoho! Of course, when he gets up, Winnie is sleeping and I’m on full steam ahead doing chores and showering!

Today I’m finishing my second coffee after lunch and watching the weather as Winnie naps. Apparently her power naps are better than mine! Soon she will want to go out and play and nap eventually. So, our furry distraction successfully drowns out Trump world.

I like the graphic above because Harris really knows what we need to do to unlike Trump who is a puppet of big money, the NRA, Putin, Musk, the Heritage Foundation, and white Christian nationalist bullies. She is more qualified after 4 years than Trump was when he walked down that escalator. And, frankly because he was learning-resistant, arrogant in his ignorance, and reader-challenged —he still has no clue about how a good president behaves or conducts more than pep rallies.
