Yes, Winnie, It’s Your New Playpen!

Who knew there were playpens for puppies? With our earlier dogs, we did have crate for potty training but no playpen! We are almost ready for our new puppy Winnie to settle in next week!

It’s been 11+ years since we raised a puppy. We gave away all of the puppy paraphernalia to family. Now we have geared up, moved furniture, put together a training crate and a playpen—not counting getting food and small toys. We kept our sweet dog Paddy’s big toys for later. We cried when we put his toys in a bag to save for the new puppy. Paddy never tore his toys up, and they accumulated!

Winnie is a miniature Bernedoodle that we fell in love with because we had to have a warm cuddly puppy to weather this upcoming election. We have always had a dog or two in the 45 years of marriage. They have enriched our lives.

We have laughed a lot as we moved the furniture around and puppy-proofed the danger areas. Type A all the way here! If we have company, they can sit inside the playpen if they’re nice (or small)! Of course, I have 4 people in line already to babysit, and the best thing of all is that there will be a puppy playmate next door. It’s unreal.

My neighbor fell in love with photos of Winnie, and she contacted the breeder the next day. She’s is getting a little girl too, and we can all enjoy each other plus the puppies can play. In case you know anyone wanting a puppy, Winnie has 2 sisters not reserved (I’d take take them if I were able)! They live near Ashland, KY.
