Diane: Thank you for sharing love -- happy puppies show how well you and your family care for them. Their happiness is a lovely gift from nature.

Sue Clancy's Blue Willows add beauty to today's post.

You are a dear, dear person, whom I love to read, and you share so much, including with art and photos.

God bless you and your loved ones, not least your dogs!

Thanks so much, Armand! Everyone needs a break from the news it’s so awful. 🐶💟🇺🇸

Good for Winnie! We just got a new puppy, so we are just entering his training period, and ours. It is no small task. Our lives are upside down right now, but we are also in love.

I identify with that! Love plus a hectic life for some time ahead. If we weren’t so darn old, we wouldn’t have hired a trainer for walking safely especially. Winnie is an all-love in-your-face on-your-lap Velcro dog. We have heard that by 18 months (January) she’ll calm down. This trainer is so good that we think we can make it until January 🐶😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

We are old too! Too old to be new parents. We are both just into our 80’s. We must be CRAZY! We may be hiring a trainer too in the end. Pray for us. 😂 🐶

We lost our beloved dog last year, and we have never been without dog kisses 🐶. It’s worth it but tiring. Winnie is a joy, and she certainly has distracted us from the news. Pace yourself and look at good trainers around 9–12 months.

Thanks for that great advice, Diane. We lost our beloved golden retriever a year ago too. We simply could not live without a dog, but we knew we needed a smaller breed, so we got a shichon. He’s adorable. We love him so much, but he is also kicking our butts! All other pursuits are taking a backseat as we are now new parents. You inspire me to hang on.

She’s small at least. Winnie is 35-40 pounds of activity! I haven’t posted today’s photos but they made me happy. She went to Home Depot for socialization and manners. We can’t believe she’s loving it! It’s so hot here, the training has to be indoors somewhere. They have a facility 5 miles from here, but they’re taking her to various locations for training!

We knew we could not have a dog as big as Winnie, but I sure did show a lot of pictures of her to my husband which made him think her breed was one to consider. I knew we had to go small. We begin puppy classes soon. I’ll post photos soon and tag you.

A gold star for Winnie!! The subscriber chat is a good idea. I just have to guard against downward spiraling.

I think we all must do some feel good stories to counterbalance the orangutan 🤡. 2025 has just begun, and it seems it’s been years. Stay hopeful, Liz.

You're right, Diane. I feel as though I have aged ten years since January.

Yes, I do too. At least Biden and Kamala offered hope.

And that hope was cruelly ripped from our hands.
