Cat Lady Humor Plus A Bonus
I took my puppy for a shot, and the conversation among staff and customers made me happy. I nodded and said we dog lovers feel the same way about Vance and Trump! (Bonus: Video HCR🇺🇸)
I really hope you animal lovers preach to your friends and vets how much they should vote against Trump/Vance because the latter have no concern for not just cat owners. I’m waiting for big pet food companies to stand up for animal rights and people’s rights. Honestly, I never really thought I would hear what passion I heard at the vet’s.
I don’t go to many places where people talk politics freely. So my day was happy!
An added bit of humor? One lady told us a gotcha approach to polling. I laughed all the way home. Her family answers polls with “Yes” to questions if they’re supporting Trump or whatever Republican candidate is calling or knocking on the door. Then they laugh afterwards.
Their point is Democrats should confuse Republicans keeping their support of Harris under wraps. Then the Trumpies will think they’re ahead. Haha! Not bad. Polls then give Trump the illusion of a win.
Then reality will bite the fascists. Chomp!
Meanwhile, my puppy is now 17 pounds at 4 months! Winnie is on the Harris/Walz support team already with other animal lovers repulsed by Trump and Vance.
Folks, seriously, find all the people within your reach who may need help getting to the polls—especially the handicapped and elderly. Do Ubers from schools to the polls. Whatever you can do, do it. History will be clapping its hands for those trying to save America from fascists.
Bonus from Red Wine and Blue
The US cannot afford to go back to a time when women couldn't vote, own property or even have a credit card in their own name. Where female school teacher's couldn't marry because they could appear pregnant in a classroom. It was also a time where segments of the population were vilified as the enemy of the people and put in internment camps during WWII. If anyone thinks any of that is okay, I suggest getting a time-machine and going backwards. But as for the rest of us - we aren't going back! Vote Blue up and down the ticket to ensure that doesn't happen.
