I took my puppy for a shot, and the conversation among staff and customers made me happy. I nodded and said we dog lovers feel the same way about Vance and Trump! (Bonus: Video HCR🇺🇸)
I just sent out several "don't forget to vote - I love you" texts to younger family members. I am cautiously and nauseously optimistic about the election.
The US cannot afford to go back to a time when women couldn't vote, own property or even have a credit card in their own name. Where female school teacher's couldn't marry because they could appear pregnant in a classroom. It was also a time where segments of the population were vilified as the enemy of the people and put in internment camps during WWII. If anyone thinks any of that is okay, I suggest getting a time-machine and going backwards. But as for the rest of us - we aren't going back! Vote Blue up and down the ticket to ensure that doesn't happen. This reminds me of 2016 when I found a cat who had been abandoned by her previous family while I was out canvassing (The woman at whose door I met her told me the story while complaining I didn't need to be there because she'd already given everyone on her block a Clinton/Kaine sign and was driving them to early voting.) I took Hillary (as I named her) home and put her in my guest room until the day after the election when I forced myself to get up and take her to my vet to be checked. I go to a walk-in clinic with a very mixed although less affluent clientele (it's very affordable!) Usually the people in the packed waiting room are chatting with each other, petting each others dog's etc. On this morning, the packed clinic was silent and everyone was staring at the floor. I signed in and waited. When the receptionist called out "Hillary," every single person in that room looked up startled. Hillary is a gorgeous tabby/calico/tuxedo mix with big green eyes and she's on my desk right now approving this post.
With you in this! Our cat dislikes Vance but absolutely yaks up her crunchy treats if the yellow buffoon appears on the tv!

Great! I’m hoping Democrats vote early to avoid confrontations on the 5th.
