The lies are coming so fast and getting more ridiculous that it feels impossible to keep up. And with the media abdicating its role and sanwashing all the lies, it’s disheartening. Thank you for the info. 💙
Thank you for writing this, there are so many naive voters who are oblivious to the manipulations of the Republican establishment. Most I meet are kind, honest people who don’t like unpleasant divisive rhetoric. They tune out anything that sounds negative, change channels and vote based on their long established roots and loyalties.
“I don’t want to hear anything negative is their ‘go to’ evasion boundary buffer. If you continue to engage, you risk not respecting their clearly stated boundary, and antagonizing them. Likely being dismissed as pushy at best, or aggressive.

And education is not the problem. So many of the worst race-baiting comes from Ivy League educated Republican leaders.
They really catapult the country in a dangerous situation and are morally responsible for so much propagation of bigotry and violence.
Your target is exactly correct: The vast disinformation network of the GOP.
What you do and say in your column is very important. I really, really appreciate you.

Former Member of Parliament Matthew Parris, in his book "Scorn", includes the following quotes from Hitler's "Mein Kampf":
"The broad mass of a nation … will more easily fall victim to a big lie than to a small one."
"Only constant repetition will finally succeed in imprinting an idea on the memory of the crowd".
