Sundays are shhh days. Listen to whoever or whatever makes your heart healed and happy. Take time to listen to Nature and imbibe its beauty. Remember when you first realized being outdoors was better?
May I ask what kind of dog that is? It looks so much like the rescue we got when my eight adopted daughters land I went to the animal shelter and came home with a dog like this! <3
A walk without devices! Good for you, not relying on digital doings for brief, addictive endorphin zaps. I talk almost constantly with my dog when we’re walking and in our home as well. A friend once asked why I talk to my dog, in apparent astonishment. I replied, “Izzie has an extensive vocabulary of human words, while I don’t speak “dog” myself.” Enjoy the walk and talk with your dog.
Haha! I’m putting on my warmest jacket shortly. Like you we talk on the walk and always in the house. My husband and I both talk to him—if I’m cooking, I explain every step of the process! He knows when timers go off, happy meals are almost ready! 🤣😎 My husband with remote in hand asks him what movie he would like!
Diane K24, Alias Diane's Blue Notes: Crisp, well-framed photos that I LOVE.
Your posting is cheery and there is something in the air, because you have a picture of you walking; Susan Niemann complains of aches from the treadmill; Heather Cox Richardson shares a breath-taking shot of Zion National Park; Joyce Vance takes us through the backyard-cum-chicken-coop.
I LOVE your column! You give me morning cheer with the coffee and brunch!

He’s an 11 year-old bearded collie with a puppy cut instead of a showdog cut. ☘️
Love it! Same breed at the dog we brought home! Always a puppy cut! <3
I love your dog!
Thanks! He’s a sweetheart
