I have a "game plan" under development that I'm be posting in a day or two. It's designed to be the things that ordinary people can do but if 10+ million do them, well, that has impact. Stay tuned.

Can you give more detail on what you mean? "Again, those who don’t curate their feeds here but especially on Blue Sky, Meta, Instagram, Facebook, TickTock will regret it in 2025."

And starter packs? A more detailed description of why you are suspect of this feature? I am new to BS and probably nieve.

My breathing and heart rate actually slowed down reading this. You cut through the overwhelm and went straight for our thinking brains. Bless.

Thank you, Diane. I appreciate your thoughts and advice. I haven’t tried Bluesky yet. The Starter Pack of 150 users just seemed too daunting. So I’ll wait.

I must admit that I’m horrified by what’s happening. 💙

I thought the Starter Packs were suggestions of people for us to follow. I looked at a few of them, picked a few out that appealed to me, and that was it. On Substack and BlueSky, however, I am trying to reconnect with people I had relationships with on LinkedIn. I never did Twitter or Instagram or anything else.

So far, I am not at all impressed by Bluesky. The writing communities are doing writers' lifts to get new followers and "Buy my book" posts. Ho hum.

I agree though if you check people like HCR and JV, they share articles that I reshare. They don’t do it informally on Substack. Time will tell I guess. I’ve hated the word “followers” since Facebook and was disappointed Substack used that same approach. I prefer free subscribers for making the effort rather than hitting follow and never reading squat!
