Thursday Blue Edition
The day after a pet’s death is like an alternate universe. Silence prevails. You are a survivor still looking for him to follow you from room to room. Thank you for yesterday’s consolations.
I want to thank all of you for your consolations yesterday after we lost our dog Paddy. I’m still numb, but I’m using Substack as my diversion today. I have read all the comments which did help me get through last night. I will try reply later. You are awesome. I will share photos as some of you requested once I settle.
With gratitude for you, Diane💙🇺🇸💙

This morning after reading HCR and JV, I read an article which said everything I’ve been feeling. The graphics are perfect. I hope
is on your radar. This quote will tell you he’s as pro-Democracy as we are. And he’s eloquent, not bombastic or crude either. Note he lists “our Heather” first—so, he has good taste too! 🇺🇸 I hope you’ll agree.
“We need to start dedicating more of our societal time and focus on concepts and ideas from Heather Cox Richardson, Rachel Carson, Dan Rather, Lawrence Lessig, Greta Thunberg, Joel Bakan, Stacey Abrams, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., John Trudell, Robert Reich, Ruth Ben-Ghiat, Timothy Snyder, the warnings from Hannah Arendt, and the insights of Noam Chomsky and John Kenneth Galbraith.” ~George A. Polisner
Thank you, George. Your article really made me feel better. Then I surfed tv news channels, and in one day the coverage had changed saying Biden needs to go. That was as depressing as letting my dog go. What is in that RNC koolaid? Vote 🗳️ Blue!
Diane, I’m so very sorry for your loss. My next door neighbor and I have a teeny pet cemetery in the back where out pets rest in peace. I wish you peace and know the even from a distance your loss is shared and understood. Lots of hugs. 💙
