The day after a pet’s death is like an alternate universe. Silence prevails. You are a survivor still looking for him to follow you from room to room. Thank you for yesterday’s consolations.
Diane, I’m so very sorry for your loss. My next door neighbor and I have a teeny pet cemetery in the back where out pets rest in peace. I wish you peace and know the even from a distance your loss is shared and understood. Lots of hugs. 💙
Diane, Thank you for the link to George’s Substack post. I regularly read his many comments, so his is a name a recognize. I became a subscriber of his today.
Diane, I am so sorry that it was Paddy’s time to go. No matter how much time we have, it’s never enough. And it’s always devastating. May Paddy be running free with all the others who went before.
I am way behind on my email so I am sorry to learn of your dog's passing. There is no grief so great as that when you lose your companion. The one who lays their head on your lap when you need a "hug", the one who is soooo happy to see you when you come home, the one who loves you no matter how you look or smell. You hear their little footsteps everywhere and lay down next to their blanket to smell them one more time. My heart hurts for your loss. May you find peace and have happy memories soon.
I missed the story of your dog, but I know that pain all too well. I am so sorry, mourning our pets can be worse than mourning our friends. Take care of yourself.
Thank you, George. Your article really made me feel better. Then I surfed tv news channels, and in one day the coverage had changed saying Biden needs to go. That was as depressing as letting my dog go. What is in that RNC koolaid? Vote 🗳️ Blue!
