Take in the words carved into the Thomas Jefferson memorial as a touchstone, “for I have sworn upon the altar of god eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man.” That’s it. That’s your mission statement. Better memorize it because every form of tyranny over the mind of man is about to be imposed on you.

🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 An ocean of gratitude to Diane and every single Substacker and every one across the country. We put forth maximum effort. But apparently more Americans prefer a fascist government than freedom, and I embarrassed that they are my brothers sisters.

I am sick at heart for the destruction of Ukraine, and spreading through Europe and on it goes from there.

Losing after a flawless campaign, leaves me with many suspicions, especially when T lost so many supporters, and his rallies were so small with people walking out.

The amazing hard work and outreach from Diane and so very many across the country, wasn’t for naught, it just wasn’t enough against cheats, criminals, and a creepy evil genius with a bottomless bank account, that is pretty close to the richest man in the world..

The stress of this election has negatively impacted my health. So I don’t know if I will be keeping my Substack account. I do not have any other social media accounts. I’ll wait a bit to see how I’m feeling, and then decide.

I am so ashamed that half of this country no longer wants to live in a democracy.

I wouldn’t want to grow up in today’s America, so for once, I’m glad for my age.

Thanks, Janis. I feel likewise. I’m not a social media person, yet I think if Substack can get better control of foreign and domestic trollers and bots -I might stay. I think once you have a nice community—it will make this awful loss less painful.

I have found a wonderful community on Substack. And I would not like losing that. We’ll see how it goes. I have been through things in my life that nobody should have to endure, and as a result my first instinct is to get far away from danger. But I’ll try to hang on for a bit.

I’m sure there will be a significant forensic review of the election. Something very wrong, and it has a very bad smell. I’ve been a whistle blower 3 times in my life, so I have a good nose for corruption and rot. And my alarm bells are ringing loudly.

It’s strange, the way I feel right now is like the grief when I lost the love of my life. I had a broken heart as big as the grand canyon.

I have been fighting the trolls for a while now. You know you’re right when you call them out and they suddenly delete the entire account. That happened multiple times. I sought them out, reported and blocked them. Probably blocked nearing 200 of them.

Yes, Substack must not become like MetaFacebook. It’s been bad and there’s no feedback when you report abusive posts or trolls.

I know, no feedback. But at least it’s documented. And I did all I could.

Dear amazing, kind, wonderful Diane, who has supported us throughout. Thank you for being a port in a storm for many months, a supportive friend who buoys us up. I sending hugs and warm wishes as we are all devastated by this outcome. Know that we are - I am - thinking of you and am glad you have a puppy for comfort.

“OK Joe, you need to use your immunity powers granted to you by the corrupt supreme court court and you need to do this right now. You need to slow down or stop his plans to set up concentration camps, separate children at the border deport all of our brown people and maybe make sure the awful man goes to jail? And pardon your son.”

You can write Joe Biden and Kamala Harris directly through the White House email system.

You are absolutely correct that ignorance and greed (not to mention Hate) won this time around. I'm so sad for our country, but will continue to do what I can for the future of my granddaughter and all the other children. It's going to be a rough ride so we need to stick together. You are always in the right place at the right time, so there is a bigger plan we just don't know about yet.

I agree. My granddaughters are so upset that I have to try to be hopeful and get on to the next battle!

I’m in the sad and numb phase. The numbness is my only defense mechanism.

Liz, it’s going to be a long week. I’m coping by not watching anything with Trump’s face. I really thought Americans were smarter and savvier. Education needs to be the next focus. That’s not what Republicans want for obvious reasons. They want vouchers for private Christian and home schools with zero accountability.

I think we all thought this country was smarter. It chose a misogynist and racist. That's not what my country looks like!
