In the aftermath of the Maine mass shooting, it’s disgusting watching politicians saying the same old platitudes to stop these shootings. Talk is cheap.
Very good points Diane. In the UK we have a similar mix of population to the USA, with a significant proportion of the population that has mental health problems. Yet we very seldom have gun massacres. The only differences is that we have very tight control of firearms. And in any event, a correct interpretation of the Constitution does not confer the right of members of the public to have guns. Sadly nothing we say will change anything. It will not be long before we read the next harrowing account of another gun massacre.
