Forget Godot. I’m waiting for Karma to bite the election deniers and anti-democracy election winners. It’s a Greek drama with Howdy Doody players. Blues will absorb oranges in time.
First amendment rights. Social media is for expression. It is not church. Democrats were too sweet, too quiet, too polite for far too long, and look where it got us. We got caught unaware and were smacked over the head. We didn’t even see it coming, but we should have. Kamala spoke out plenty. She didn’t tiptoe around. I don’t like all the cussing and much of what is said, but I will speak the truth, and I will express what I observe. Expressive people are not bad people. They are people that say what other people are thinking, that just don’t speak up. Granted some are crude and rude, as is the case everywhere in life. Anyway, thank you for everything.
Janis, I agree to a point, but those who have been at this political fight for years have warned those who listened. We have too many who have no civil discourse bone in their bodies. Today I read a person who tagged a well-known person’s post with a 2 page rant which was unrelated to the original. It was a way to get attention by abusing the reshare option. That means Republicans can take your posts and attach insane stuff by tagging your stuff. It’s not the first amendment issue—it’s a low down and dirty way to get more clicks, more followers for slanderous critics. Just sayin’ we need to watch for these guys and block their trashy misuse of other people’s articles. This guy attached a political treatise to a nature photo. Wrong.
Yikes. Haven’t come across that scenario yet. Thanks for the heads up.
When I come across a troll, I go to their page, look at their reads which confirms their troll status. And then I look at their likes and go down the line and block them all, or just many of them if quantity is too much, before I block the original troll. It is preemptive. It takes a few minutes but is worth it, to me anyway. It has cut down on trolls significantly, for me anyway. I’ve probably surpassed 300 blocks by now. Substack doesn’t have any other way to filter, that I’m aware of.
Anyone mentioning Blue or the word Democrat is subject to trolls, regardless of any other words.
Not speaking for fear of trolls, is like not driving because there are drunks out there. I’m teetering on edge of closing out substack altogether. But I will miss reading those I came here to read.
Tell me, is switching to blue sky going to eliminate the problem you described, or eliminate trolls altogether. Seriously wondering.
Always enjoy seeing Winnie! A pleasant distraction for all of us. Thanks, Diane.

I’ll let you know soon. I think unfollowing and blocking people works for the time being. Some people never read the comments on friends posts. I do.
Aww, sweet Winnie! 🐾 puppies, for all their mischief, still make the world go around! 💛
💕
"A Greek Tragedy with HOWDY Doody players." Pure art, thank you.
Thanks, Sean! It’s so bad ;(
A woof for Winnie.
And a woof 🐶 for karma. ☯️
